Overall News Team Plan (9/1/2006)
(Note, this was our plan before the convention)
- have a really live website, with regular updates by as many contributors as want to contribute. constructed by Trey and Nate. See: 2006 Dallas Convention site plans
- daily one-page printed newsletter of what to look forward to that day, and perhaps highlights of the previous day. led by Dennis Charsky.
- four to five "on the ground" podcasters, recording interviews, discussions, and sessions. The Podcasting Plan led by Anne Leftwich and John Curry.
- two "conference bloggers", in addition to our automatically aggregated blog content, coordinated by Michael Barbour. (Note: this didn't happen).
- three official photographers, shooting photos all day, and uploading all day. led by David Wiley.
- photos highlighted on site
- other folks contributing photos to flickr, using tag AECT2006
- social bookmarking with delicious, using tag AECT2006. (People didn't use this.)
- Birds of a Feather impromptu sessions, with a dedicated web announcements space and physical bulletin board at convention. (Didn't happen).
