- 3 Types of Environment:
- Classroom
- Instructional product
- Large scale system
- Formative v.s summative evaluations
- Formative evaluations: Formative evaluation occurs during the development of the instructional program, assessment, evaluation, curriculum, and so forth.
- Summative evaluations: Summative evaluation occurs after instructors and/or designers have completed the entire instructional process and made it as effective and efficient as possible. A summative evaluation is generally occurring at the end of a unit or training; it allows instructors or instructional designers to see how well the learners met/understood the learning objectives from instruction.
