Spreadsheets are good for:
1. Dividing work among learners
Secondary/Middle had so many great ideas it was hard to come up with just one!!! We all decided that the spreadsheet are great for group work and develop a plan that will reach each learner.

Tracking change of costs over time and by season

36 month vs. 48 month vs. 60 month
Comparing interest costs given principal, rate, and time period
4. Population Growth
5. Organizing Terms and Concepts
Arranging irregular verbs
Master the details of a story, e.g. plot, characters, etc.
Vocabulary - nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.
Integrating these ideas across the curriculum. Other teachers can springboard and develop lesson plans. MLGW bill can work for math and social studies.
Spreadsheet Use in Elementary Schools
- Average in Student's Grades-student keeps track of own grades, can see his own progress and what would happen if he scored a 90 on next quiz, etc. Incentive to take ownership of his grades, work harder to pull grades up
- Plant Growth-chart a plant's growth (height) and what happens when variables are changed
- Spelling-place the letter combination that is being studied that week (ex. 'th') in one column and in another column place a vowel and then change endings to create new words
- Recognizing Adult and their offspring in the animal kingdom, learning the proper name for the offspring (ex. cow/calf, horse/colt)
