Jaime went first, bold soul that she is! Her speech subject? Coffee: A Brief History-she expressos herself so well!
Sally was next. Her subject was: What is Montessori?-we were all engaged in the "meaningful activity".
Melanie's speech was "Why Spanish?" I really understood her presentation..uh..I think it was geared to my age group!
Lyndsey's topic was "Childhood Nutrition"-she wet our "appetite" for wanting to know more about this!
David's topic was on a study he's been working on: "Increasing Oral Fluency"--he used a lot of BIG words.
Brenda went next. Her subject was "IEP" (Individualized Education Plan). She made sure we all understood the information and that we had an equal opportunity to learn.
Shariee spoke about "Promoting Products"--We liked the "style" of her presentation.
Dr. M kept us entertained as each student prepared to present.
Melody's topic was "What is Middle School Art?"
During powerpoint if you hit a "B" on your keyboard and screen will go to black.

Filemaker ($99) is a way to make your own database. With webbased software you need to think about where your data is. He showed us a job-based database. You can buy it at an online software store (like Academic Superstore) or Apple Store.
He showed how he set up his "sorts" including his priority codes. He used the database to make his coverletter. You can store your letters in the database.
Access is a database maker too, but it's not as "user friendly".
In Filemaker you can make your own letterhead and use mailmerge.("Dear___________" I am interested in...")
