Ashe CMS Response

I enjoyed learning about all the diffetent types of CMS software. While reading about the three that we weare to discuss I found that there are several similarities between all of the programs. All of the programs seemed to display the same basic functions and differed in only a few categories. One thing that immediately caught my attention on th Moodle software is that youu can have daily digests ans subscribe to RSS feeds. This function could not be performed with either of the other CMS systems. In the discussion areas of both Blackboard and Desire 2 Learn, you can create discussion groups in threaded format. However with Desire 2Learn you can set limitations for users in the discussion group. Both Blackboard and Desire 2 Learn are able to attach nots to discussionand course content pages to form study guides. After careful consideration of all the programs, I think that Blackboard would be my choice for a teaching tool.

Blackboard contains internal e-mail function that will allow the student and teacher to share grades upload assignments, forward, archive, and have a searchable address book. This CMS system will also allow you to share bookmarks and post announcements to the course calendar. This system will aso provide you with the ability to compile and download podcasts that can be used in your course material and discussion topics. It also features a real-time chat tool that will allow live discussion time for classes that are large and small.
