Young CMS Response
After evaluating Blackboard, Moodle and Desire2Learn, I discovered Moodle has several features that got my attention such as the Rss feeds and the it being open source, which the other two did not have. Moodle did have have several drawbacks such as no whiteboard, and no course management. Blackboard and Desire2Learn share many of the same features. Some of the features are discussion management, internal email, searching within content, student involvment, and community network. Since they share similiar features, I would choose Desire2Learn. Just by reading the comparisons I think I would choose Desire2Learn because notes can be attached to online journal, gaphing and polling can be added to your whiteboard. You can bookmark pages and content in productivity tools and Desire2learn has better content sharing and course template.
