• Social bookmarking allows the possibility of sharing favorite bookmarks with other people.
• If you don’t want to share your bookmarks, you don’t have to. Allows you to keep them to yourself, but access from different computers. You can also have multiple accounts, one just for you and one for sharing.
• You can add tags to your bookmarks and it will give other users keywords to search for. There is a resource of specific keywords to describe specific topics. This list of keywords is called a “taxonomy”. We are creating a "folksonomy".
• A "bookmarklet" is a small JavaScript program stored as a URL within a bookmark in most popular web browsers, or stored within a hyperlink on a web page.

Postscript We were hunting in class for the place to add the description to the webpage HEAD section. In CS3/DW, on Insert/Common, browse across the list of buttons and their dropdown menus. In CS3, the button is the 4th from the right (looks like a text page with a callout). The dropdown choices include meta, keywords, and description. Description is the one we were looking for in class tonight.
