As one prepares to enter the field of Instructional Design and Technology a decision must be made concerning what area he/she wants to pursue. Whether it be in the public or private sector, K-12 or higher education, or in the business sector, one must take certain steps, and precautions, to maximize their success in gaining the position sought after. Knowing where, and how, to search for a job plays a very important role in whether or not you get the position. Once an individual has located a position, he/she must be prepared to demonstrate their knowledge and skills needed to perform that job. Part of this process is the job application process.
