EDTC 6010 Introduction to Instructional Technology
This course is designed to introduce graduate IT majors to the field of instructional
design and technology, including topics such as learning theory, trends and
issues, ethics, distance education, and performance improvement.
EDTC 6020 Principles of Instructional Design
This course is about learning to design instruction for various delivery methods.
Topics include instructional theory, evaluation, and analyses of task, learner,
and context.

EDTC 6030 Authoring Systems for Instructional Product Development
This course is about learning to evaluate and to design courseware. We experiment
with interaction, navigation, design and metaphor to create simulations,
games, drills, tutorials, etc.. We spend some time focusing on how learning
can be enhanced with animation, video, images, audio, web tools, etc. The
goal is to learn how to design appropriate instructional activities in concert
with learning and instructional theory.

EDTC 6125 Performance Technology: Principles and Strategies
This course is an introduction to performance improvement. Topics include electronic
performance support systems, and analyzing performance problems.

EDTC 6130 Instructional Video for Educators
In this course students learn how to produce and evaluate instructional video.
Topics include learning theory, message design, ethics, broadcasting, web
video, etc.

This course is about learning to design instruction for online environments.
Topics include instructional design, Web authoring tools, instructor issues,
and student issues in online education.
